About the Role
This is a full-time, on-site Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) role based in Delhi, India, with Blinkit Ambulance.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to emergency calls.
- Assess patient conditions.
- Provide basic life support and essential pre-hospital medical care.
- Stabilize patients.
- Administer approved treatments.
- Monitor vital signs.
- Safely transport individuals to appropriate medical facilities.
- Operate and maintain ambulance equipment.
- Ensure cleanliness and readiness of the vehicle.
- Document patient care accurately.
- Communicate with dispatch, hospital staff, and other emergency services.
- Follow clinical guidelines, safety procedures, and local regulations.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Emergency Services and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) skills.
- Responding to emergency calls.
- Providing pre-hospital care.
- Paramedic-level competencies.
- Practical experience in administering basic life support and emergency interventions.
- Foundational knowledge of Medicine relevant to emergency care.
- Patient assessment.
- Vital sign monitoring.
- Safe medication handling as allowed by local regulations.
- Ability to work in high-pressure environments.
- Ability to make sound decisions quickly.
- Ability to communicate clearly with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Physical ability to lift and move patients safely.
- Ability to work shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Fluency in English and local languages used in Delhi.
Qualifications
- Certification or eligibility with the U.S. National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT), or equivalent recognized EMT/Paramedic certification.
- Completion of an accredited EMT or Paramedic training program.
- Additional emergency or critical care training is an advantage.
- Prior experience in ambulance services or hospital emergency departments is preferred.
