About the Role
We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented Junior Production Designer / Graphic Design Generalist to support the marketing team with day-to-day graphic design, production, and layout projects. This role will assist with executing existing design concepts, preparing marketing materials, and completing smaller creative projects that help streamline the team’s workload. The ideal candidate is a flexible, hands-on designer who can take direction, work within established brand guidelines, and efficiently turn content and creative assets into polished deliverables. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career designer looking to gain experience across a variety of marketing and design projects while collaborating with an experienced creative professional.
Key Responsibilities
- Graphic Design Production: Execute small-to-medium design projects, including marketing collateral, social media graphics, and other branded materials.
- Layout & Formatting: Format, organize, and lay out existing copy, images, and creative assets into polished, presentation-ready materials.
- Marketing Asset Development: Support the creation and adaptation of marketing materials for digital channels, internal communications, and promotional initiatives.
- Content Placement & Production: Incorporate provided copy, images, and other assets into existing templates and design layouts while maintaining consistency and accuracy.
- Brand Consistency: Follow established brand guidelines, including typography, color palettes, spacing, and visual standards, across all deliverables.
- Design Adaptations: Resize, revise, and repurpose existing creative assets for different formats, platforms, and project requirements.
- Social Media Support: Assist with producing social media graphics and visual assets to complement content developed by the social media content creator and marketing team.
- Project Execution: Manage assigned tasks efficiently, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail across multiple concurrent projects.
- Collaboration & Feedback: Work closely with marketing stakeholders and senior creative team members to execute requests, incorporate revisions, and deliver quality work.
- Creative Growth: Learn and develop design skills through hands-on project work, feedback, and guidance from experienced team members.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Working knowledge of design tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop) and/or Canva.
- Strong understanding of layout, typography, spacing, and basic visual design principles.
Qualifications
- Foundational experience in graphic design, production design, marketing design, or a related creative field.
- Ability to follow creative direction and work within established brand guidelines.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and accuracy when preparing design deliverables.
- Ability to manage multiple small projects and respond to changing priorities.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
- Proactive mindset, willingness to learn, and ability to work independently once tasks and expectations are established.
- A portfolio or examples of design work demonstrating layout, production, and visual communication skills.
Engagement Details
- Engagement Type: Freelance, project-based support.
- Work Arrangement: Flexible; remote work may be suitable.
- Workload: Variable based on project volume and marketing team needs, with opportunities for ongoing assignments.
- Start Date: Potentially within the next few weeks, with projects available as the designer is onboarded.
Ideal Candidate
An adaptable, early-career designer who enjoys bringing creative projects across the finish line. This person is comfortable working on smaller production tasks, formatting content, creating layouts, and adapting existing assets rather than leading major brand strategy or developing entirely new creative concepts. The ideal candidate is dependable, receptive to feedback, eager to build experience, and able to help the marketing team move projects forward efficiently.
