About Agentrail
Agentrail is a four-person team building product analytics for agent users. Agentrail connects steps an AI agent takes when using a developer product (reading docs, signing up in a browser, authenticating, making an API call) so product and engineering teams can see which agents use their product, what they came to do, where they drop off, and whether a change helps more of them succeed.
Key Responsibilities
- Work directly with the founders to take features from the first product question through release.
- Figure out which events would answer questions like "Why do agents read our quickstart but never make a successful API call?"
- Build the integration to capture relevant events.
- Turn captured data into a view a developer can use.
- Connect events across docs, browser sessions, authentication flows, APIs, and MCP tools to reconstruct an agent’s path through a product.
- Build analytics that show where agents drop off, how long it takes them to reach a milestone, and how completion changes after a release.
- Use customer feedback and telemetry to decide what to build or fix next.
- Write a short spec, ship tested code, review it with the team, and document how it works.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment, including the ability to discuss something shipped on a tight timeline, personal ownership, and decision-making regarding scope.
- Hands-on experience with at least one of these areas: AI agents, developer tools, or analytics platforms.
- Ability to build and test software in a modern programming language.
- Experience working with APIs.
- Ability to trace a problem across systems.
- Ability to scope your own work, explain technical decisions clearly, and flag blockers early.
Qualifications
- Pursuing or have recently completed a degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
