About the Role
Inova Alexandria Hospital is seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join the team. This role will be full-time with Monday – Friday, Days/Evenings rotating shifts. Every other weekend.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintains an adequate stock of medications and supplies according to established policies.
- Accurately pre-packs medications and restocks code cart and stock kits.
- Restocks assigned areas, puts away unused medications, utilizes want book, and associated inventory management procedures.
- Orders items, properly stocks shelves, processes returns, and identifies vendor errors.
- Accurately fills automated dispensing devices and unit dose pick, first doses, and floor stock.
- Assists Pharmacist in drug selection and counting medications accurately.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Education: High School or GED.
- Certification: Registered Pharmacy Technician in the state of Virginia or a Pharmacy Intern License.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) within 3 months of hire.
Qualifications
- Experience: One (1) year experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
