About the Role
The Accounting Intern will support the finance and accounting team with day-to-day tasks in a full-time, remote capacity.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and review of financial statements.
- Post and reconcile journal entries.
- Update accounting records.
- Test and use accounting software.
- Support routine reporting.
- Assist with basic tax-related data checks related to automated transactions.
- Research discrepancies.
- Organize financial documentation.
- Collaborate with team members across time zones using digital tools.
Qualifications
- Ability to work with Financial Statements and understand basic Finance concepts.
- Proficiency or familiarity with Accounting Software and related digital tools.
- Strong Analytical Skills for reviewing data, identifying variances, and supporting reconciliations.
- Knowledge of Journal Entries and core bookkeeping principles.
- Enrollment in or recent completion of a degree program in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Attention to detail, reliability in handling confidential information, and strong organizational skills.
- Comfort working in a remote, technology-driven environment and communicating clearly in writing and verbally.
- Interest in tax technology, global taxation, or fintech is an advantage.
