About the Role
- Full-time, on-site Building/Residential Architect role.
- Based in Chennai.
Key Responsibilities
- Designing functional, safe, and aesthetically sound residential and building layouts that align with fire safety and engineering standards.
- Preparing architectural drawings and 3D models.
- Coordinating with engineering and project teams.
- Ensuring compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and client specifications.
- Reviewing project requirements.
- Performing site assessments.
- Integrating architectural concepts with specialized testing infrastructure where needed.
- Supporting project execution through design revisions and documentation.
- Participating in design reviews.
- Collaborating with vendors and contractors.
- Contributing to continuous improvement in design processes and standards.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar design and modeling software.
- Knowledge of local building codes, fire safety standards, and construction practices, preferably in India.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Architecture and Architectural Design, including residential and building planning.
- Experience with Integration of architectural designs with engineering systems and safety requirements.
- Proficiency in Project Management, including timelines, coordination with cross-functional teams, and documentation.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Architecture or a closely related discipline from a recognized institution.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and detail-oriented approach with the ability to translate technical requirements into practical designs.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work on-site with engineers, contractors, and clients.
- Prior experience in industrial, residential, or safety-focused projects is an advantage.
