HTML/CSS DEVELOPER INTERN

About the Role

This internship places you on the user interface and web design team at Medinex Workforce. You will translate design mockups into semantic, clean, and accessible code, build modern responsive web layouts using modern CSS techniques, and ensure fluid cross-browser compatibility.

What You Will Work On

• Convert Figma, Adobe XD, or UI/UX mockups into pixel-perfect, clean, semantic HTML5 and CSS3 code.
• Implement responsive multi-device layouts using CSS Flexbox, Grid, and fluid media queries.
• Build interactive UI components, navigation menus, accordions, and modal windows using modern CSS and lightweight JavaScript.
• Ensure web accessibility (WCAG) compliance, proper ARIA tags, and cross-browser visual consistency.
• Optimize front-end assets, compress SVGs/images, and write lightweight stylesheets to improve Core Web Vitals.
• Maintain and expand reusable CSS component libraries, design tokens, and utility classes.
• Manage code changes, branches, and UI updates using Git and GitHub workflows.
• Share progress in a short daily check-in and participate in weekly design-to-code sprint reviews.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Strong foundational grasp of semantic HTML5, modern CSS3 (Flexbox, Grid, custom properties/variables), and basic JavaScript.
• Deep understanding of responsive web design principles and mobile-first layout techniques.
• Sharp eye for design fidelity: typography, alignment, visual hierarchy, spacing, and micro-interactions.
• Methodical debugging skills using browser developer tools (Chrome DevTools, Firefox Inspector).
• Clear written English for styling documentation and design handoff communication.
• A laptop and a stable internet connection.

Helpful But Not Required

• Familiarity with CSS preprocessors (SASS/SCSS) or utility frameworks like Tailwind CSS or Bootstrap.
• Basic understanding of SVG animations, CSS transitions, and keyframe animations.
• Experience inspecting and exporting design assets directly from Figma.
• A live portfolio, CodePen profile, or GitHub repository showcasing responsive web layouts.

• Final-year students and recent graduates from B.Tech, B.E., BCA, B.Sc (CS/IT), MCA, diploma in web design, or related creative/technical fields.
• Self-taught front-end designers with responsive web mockups and live landing pages to show.
• Freshers seeking hands-on, production-grade web styling and UI layout experience.
• Candidates available to commit full-time for the duration of the internship (1 to 3 months).
