About the Internship
A WordPress Web Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining websites using the WordPress content management system. A successful candidate should have a good understanding of HTML and PHP, and experience working with WordPress. They should have experience building responsive websites and knowledge of web development best practices and standards. They should be able to work independently, multitask, and meet deadlines. They should be well-organized and able to communicate effectively with clients and other team members. Additionally, they should be able to troubleshoot and debug issues quickly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Designing and developing custom WordPress themes and plugins to meet specific client needs.
- Installing and configuring WordPress on web servers and integrating it with other technologies.
- Customizing existing WordPress themes and plugins to match client design and functional requirements.
- Building and maintaining custom WordPress-based solutions, such as e-commerce sites, membership sites, and custom post types.
- Optimizing the performance and scalability of WordPress-based websites.
- Troubleshooting and debugging issues related to WordPress-based websites.
- Collaborating with other team members, such as web designers and project managers, to ensure websites are delivered on time and on budget.
- Keeping up-to-date with the latest WordPress development best practices and trends.
- Knowledge of SEO for pages.
- Continuously learning new technologies, frameworks, and tools.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Strong knowledge of WordPress.
- Experience with WordPress and building custom WordPress themes and plugins.
- Experience with responsive web design.
- Experience with other web technologies and frameworks.
- Understanding of SEO and web performance optimization.
- Understanding of web hosting and server management.
