About the Role
Teacher Assistant Infant and Toddler, located in Paramus, NJ.
Hours:
- Monday to Friday
- Infant: 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM OR 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM
- Toddler: 1:00 PM to 6:30 PM
As a Teacher Assistant, you will work closely with Lead Teachers to support children in a nurturing Montessori environment, fostering their exploration, growth, independence, confidence, and curiosity.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure a safe, clean, and engaging learning environment for all students
- Collaborate with the Lead Teacher to support and implement lesson plans
- Maintain accurate student records and assist with family communication
- Encourage positive self-image while supporting individuality, independence, and creativity
- Model appropriate social behavior and actively engage with students
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, trainings, and mentorship programs
Requirements & Tech Stack
- High School Diploma or GED
- CPR / First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
- A genuine love of children
- Physically able to kneel, bend, squat, lift, push, pull, and carry children
- An understanding of health and safety guidelines
- Capacity to multi-task and function in an ever-changing environment
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
