DevOps Engineer Intern, India

About the Role

Skillzenloop is seeking a motivated DevOps Engineer Intern interested in cloud computing, automation, infrastructure management, and software deployment. The intern will assist with development and deployment workflows, learn infrastructure automation concepts, and gain practical exposure to tools for building, testing, deploying, and monitoring applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in setting up and maintaining development and testing environments.
• Learn and support CI/CD workflows.
• Work with Git and GitHub for source code management and collaboration.
• Automate repetitive development and deployment activities.
• Gain exposure to Linux commands, shell scripting, and server administration fundamentals.
• Support application deployment and configuration activities under guidance.
• Work with Docker to understand containerization concepts.
• Assist in monitoring application performance and identifying basic deployment issues.
• Learn cloud computing fundamentals using platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Maintain deployment documentation and infrastructure configuration records.
• Troubleshoot build failures and environment-related issues.
• Collaborate with developers to improve deployment processes and development workflows.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Basic understanding of Linux operating systems and command-line operations.
• Familiarity with Git and GitHub.
• Basic knowledge of networking concepts and web application architecture.
• Understanding of software development and deployment fundamentals.
• Familiarity with shell scripting or Python is beneficial.
• Basic understanding of Docker and containerization is an advantage.
• Knowledge of CI/CD concepts is preferred.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is beneficial.
• Basic understanding of HTTP, DNS, and server configuration is an advantage.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Willingness to learn automation tools and infrastructure management practices.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or holding a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Freshers and entry-level candidates are welcome.
• Candidates with Linux, cloud computing, automation, or deployment-related academic projects are encouraged to apply.
• Access to a computer and a reliable internet connection.

Internship Details

• Duration: 1–3 Months
• Stipend: ₹15,000–₹16,000 per month
