Accountant

About the Role

Ecoluxe Jewels is seeking a detail-oriented, reliable, and experienced Accountant to manage the accounting and financial operations of our diamond jewellery business. This includes procurement, manufacturing job work, showroom sales, and exports of loose diamonds and diamond jewellery.

Key Responsibilities

• Accounting & Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate books of accounts, prepare vouchers, record journal entries, and manage day-to-day financial transactions.
• Purchase & Inventory Accounting: Record purchases of gold and diamonds, maintain purchase invoices, and reconcile inventory records.
• Job Work Accounting: Track jewellery sent to factories for manufacturing and job work, including material issued, gold and diamond consumption, finished goods received, wastage, and job work charges.
• Stock Management: Maintain proper records of loose diamonds, gold, work-in-progress, finished jewellery, and showroom inventory.
• Sales & Billing: Handle customer invoicing, sales entries, credit notes, receipts, and payment tracking.
• GST & Tax Compliance: Manage GST invoicing, input tax credit reconciliation, GST returns coordination, TDS compliance, and other applicable statutory requirements.
• Export Accounting: Handle accounting and documentation related to exports of loose diamonds and diamond jewellery, including export invoices, shipping documentation, foreign currency transactions, and coordination with banks and customs agents.
• Banking & Reconciliation: Perform bank reconciliations, monitor receivables and payables, and maintain accurate financial records.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly profit and loss statements, stock reports, outstanding payment reports, and other management reports.
• Audit & Compliance: Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and other professional advisors.
• Process Control: Ensure proper documentation and reconciliation at every stage, from procurement of gold and diamonds to manufacturing, showroom transfers, sales, and exports.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com) or an equivalent qualification.
• Prior experience in accounting, preferably in the diamond, jewellery, bullion, or precious metals industry.
• Knowledge of GST, TDS, inventory accounting, and applicable statutory compliance.
• Experience with accounting software such as Tally Prime, Busy, or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of Excel and financial reporting.
• Understanding of job work accounting, stock reconciliation, and manufacturing transactions.
• Knowledge of export accounting and foreign currency transactions will be an added advantage.
• Strong attention to detail, integrity, organizational skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.

• Salary: Rs. 30,000/- – Rs. 50,000/- per month (depending on experience and capability)
