About the Role
Join Macquarie Group's 2027 Summer Internship Program within the Risk Management Group and Internal Audit Department in Gurugram. This 8-10 week internship offers hands-on experience, structured induction, on-the-job training, and networking opportunities alongside industry professionals. The program focuses on contributing to work that builds for a better future.
Key Responsibilities
As part of the Risk Management Group (RMG) and Internal Audit Department (IAD), you will:
- Deliver successful and sustainable business outcomes.
- Review, challenge, oversee, monitor, and report on Macquarie’s material risks.
Opportunities Include
- Credit Reviews:
- Conduct counterparty analysis.
- Contribute to credit risk assessments.
- Assist with internal credit ratings.
- Support the establishment of appropriate limits.
- Credit Central:
- Support central functions for credit risk management.
- Involve credit systems, reporting, controls, risk modelling, data governance, and country risk.
- Internal Audit Department (IAD):
- Contribute to independent and objective assessments of Macquarie’s risk management, governance, and control environment.
- Provide assurance and insights as Macquarie’s third line of defence.
- Compliance:
- Support Macquarie in managing compliance and financial crime risk.
- Potentially develop and maintain compliance frameworks.
- Support risk surveillance.
- Utilize analytics, insights, and models to identify, monitor, and respond to potential non-compliance.
- Market Risk:
- Help assess, monitor, and report Macquarie’s exposure to adverse market movements.
- Support oversight of market risk from traded and non-traded activities.
- Ensure risks remain within approved limits.
- Model & AI Risk Management:
- Support independent oversight of model and artificial intelligence risk.
- Assess how models and AI are developed, used, and governed.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Students in their penultimate or final year of study.
- Studying Commerce, Economics, Maths, and Technology.
- No prior financial experience is required.
- Innate curiosity and eagerness to learn.
