Automation Engineer

About the Role

This full-time, on-site role in Bengaluru focuses on automation engineering and technician responsibilities within the Product Data Collection and Analysis and Vision Hive Tableau Clortho MTTR LAD SFC team. The role supports, monitors, and optimizes automated systems, including robotics and process control equipment, to ensure stable and efficient production.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure and maintain automation hardware and software.
• Troubleshoot equipment and system issues.
• Analyze production and maintenance data to reduce MTTR and improve line performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement improvements.
• Maintain dashboards and reports in tools such as Vision Hive and Tableau.
• Ensure accurate product data collection and traceability.
• Adhere to safety and quality standards.
• Document technical procedures.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Automation and Robotics: Setup, configuration, and maintenance of automated production equipment.
• Process Control: Monitoring, tuning, and optimizing production processes and related systems.
• Electrical Engineering: Understanding of industrial electrical systems, sensors, controllers, and wiring practices.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electrical, and software-related issues in automation and data collection systems.
• MES/SFC: Relevant experience with manufacturing execution systems (MES), SFC, data collection tools.
• Visualization Platforms: Experience with Tableau or similar dashboards.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and documentation.
• Ability to document maintenance activities and system changes clearly.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
• Focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.
• Experience in large-scale electronics or automotive manufacturing is an advantage.
