Role: AI & IoT Intern

About the Role

This is a remote internship role. The intern will support the design, development, and testing of AI and IoT solutions related to GAOTek’s product and service portfolio. The role is intended to provide hands-on experience in a global, technology-driven environment while supporting ongoing projects and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Researching emerging AI and IoT technologies.
• Assisting in data collection and preprocessing.
• Working on basic models or algorithms.
• Helping integrate IoT devices and sensors with software platforms.
• Contributing to documentation, presentations, and reports.
• Collaborating with technical and marketing teams to translate technical concepts into practical applications.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Foundational knowledge of artificial intelligence and machine learning concepts, such as supervised/unsupervised learning and model evaluation.
• Understanding of IoT architectures, sensors, microcontrollers, and communication protocols (e.g., MQTT, HTTP, Bluetooth, or Wi-Fi).
• Basic programming skills in languages commonly used for AI and IoT (such as Python, C/C++, or JavaScript) and familiarity with relevant libraries or frameworks.
• Ability to conduct technical research, analyze data, and summarize findings in clear, structured documentation.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and an interest in applying AI and IoT to engineering and telecommunications contexts.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate in a remote, multicultural team environment.
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree or diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical discipline.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, embedded systems, or networking concepts is an asset but not required.
