Product Management Intern

About the Role

The Product Management Intern role at TheFreeSaaS is a full-time remote position focused on supporting the strategy and execution of new and existing software products. This position offers hands-on experience in product management within a distributed, community-led environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in defining product requirements.
• Organize feature ideas from the community.
• Prioritize the product roadmap.
• Conduct market and user research.
• Analyze usage data and feedback.
• Prepare clear documentation for developers and designers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional team members.
• Participate in product discussions.
• Help ensure that releases align with user needs and the organization’s mission of free and accessible tools.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Product Management and Product Strategy, with interest in end-to-end product lifecycle.
• Analytical Skills to interpret qualitative and quantitative data, draw insights, and support data-informed decisions.
• Effective Communication skills, including the ability to present ideas clearly and collaborate with remote, cross-functional teams.
• Experience or coursework in Market Research, including user interviews, surveys, and competitive analysis.
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in business, engineering, design, computer science, or a related field.
• Comfort working in a remote, asynchronous environment and managing tasks independently.
• Interest in SaaS products, open communities, and creating accessible tools for diverse user groups.
• Basic familiarity with project management or collaboration tools (e.g., Trello, Notion, Jira, or similar) is a plus.
