Associate Finance Controller

About the Role

This role is within Accounting Operations, overseeing day-to-day financial transactions with accuracy and compliance. It covers cost accounting, budget accounting, accounts payable/receivable, and billing & invoicing.

This is an individual contributor role requiring practical knowledge and the ability to execute specialized work. A colleague at this level works independently within defined boundaries but may need supervision and support on more complex tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day financial transactions with accuracy and compliance.
• Perform cost accounting, including allocating and analyzing direct and indirect costs, and actual vs. budgeted cost variance analysis.
• Manage budget accounting, including developing and monitoring annual revenue/expense budgets for fund control and operating result measurement.
• Handle accounts payable / accounts receivable, billing & invoicing roles.
• Apply practical methods, techniques, work procedures, and processes.
• Resolve problems through a choice between known alternatives within the area of expertise.

Qualifications

• Previous work experience in a related area, or practical knowledge obtained via advanced education.
