Construction Summer Intern

About the Role

Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, has a limited-term, full-time summer internship opportunity within its Municipal group at the De Pere, WI office.

Internship Experience

• Exposure to projects and people in the municipal engineering group.
• Collaboration with project managers and colleagues on municipal construction projects of varying size and scope.
• Development of familiarity with federal, state, and local design standards.
• Utilization of technical software programs for analysis, preparation, and quality checking of client deliverables.
• Field observations and data collection.
• Assistance with the preparation of technical reports and memos.
• Participation in technical and client meetings.
• Engagement in team-building activities for networking with professionals and interns.
• Expected to visit project sites for data collection, out-of-office meetings, and events.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Valid driver’s license required.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and AutoCAD Civil 3D is ideal.
• Coursework in civil engineering, construction management, or a closely related field.

Qualifications

• Successful candidates must have completed at least two semesters of college-level coursework in civil engineering or a related field.
• Previous relevant internship experience is ideal.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Self-motivated.
• Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
