Senior Product Designer

About the Role

This role operates within a cross-functional product team, collaborating closely with product managers, engineers, researchers, and other designers. Engagement may also extend to data, operations, and support teams. Designers contribute to maintaining strong design practices and supporting cross-disciplinary collaboration. The Senior Product Designer shapes complex product experiences, requiring a strong understanding of user needs, business objectives, and system dependencies. The role focuses on structuring end-to-end user journeys, translating research insights into practical design solutions, and supporting teams in ambiguous problem spaces. Work at this level requires strong foundations in interaction design, service thinking, and visual design. The role contributes to the development of scalable product patterns and ensures design outcomes are consistent with established systems and accessibility standards. Awareness of emerging technologies, including AI-enabled tools, supports informed design decisions and efficient workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Research and insight synthesis: Plan or support research activities (interviews, usability testing, behavioral observation). Synthesize insights into journey maps, experience principles, and structured design recommendations.
• Experience design: Define user journeys, task flows, and interaction patterns for complex product workflows. Create service blueprints to illustrate user interactions and supporting system processes.
• Design execution and prototyping: Develop wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity interfaces using established design systems and accessibility standards.
• Cross-functional collaboration: Develop design solutions in partnership with product and engineering teams to ensure alignment with product requirements and technical constraints.
• Design facilitation and feedback: Facilitate workshops, feedback sessions, and collaborative discussions to improve design outcomes and support shared understanding.
• Design system contribution: Identify opportunities to strengthen design systems through new or refined patterns that support consistency across products.
• AI-assisted design exploration: Use AI-supported tools for exploration, research synthesis, or documentation, with attention to accuracy, ethics, and inclusivity.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Portfolio demonstrating strong reasoning, interaction design capability, and ability to address ambiguous problems.
• Experience conducting or contributing to user research and translating insights into structured design solutions.
• Strong communication and facilitation skills.
• Familiarity with design systems, accessibility standards, and scalable product design approaches.
• Openness to exploring emerging tools and AI-assisted workflows.
