Jr pharmacist

About the Role

The Jr Pharmacist is a full-time, on-site role based at Apoorva Diagnostic & Healthcare in Bengaluru.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting with dispensing medications as per prescriptions.
• Ensuring accurate labeling, dosage, and instructions.
• Maintaining proper storage conditions for pharmaceuticals.
• Tracking stock levels.
• Checking expiry dates.
• Assisting with ordering and replenishment of medicines and supplies.
• Counseling patients on medication use under appropriate supervision.
• Maintaining prescription records.
• Adhering to regulatory and organizational policies.
• Coordinating with physicians, nurses, and other clinical staff to support safe and efficient patient care.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from a recognized institution.
• Valid registration with the relevant pharmacy council.
• Knowledge of basic pharmacology, dosage forms, and common medications.
• Ability to read and interpret prescriptions accurately.
• Familiarity with pharmacy inventory management, stock rotation, expiry monitoring, and storage requirements.
• Understanding of relevant healthcare regulations, pharmacy standards, and patient safety protocols.
• Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
• Ability to follow standard operating procedures.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer skills for working with prescription management systems and maintaining electronic records.
• Willingness to work in shifts as required.
• Willingness to learn from senior pharmacists and clinicians.
• Prior experience or internship in a hospital or retail pharmacy setting is an advantage but not mandatory.
