About the Role
The Intern Backend Developer role is a full-time remote position focused on supporting the design, development, and maintenance of backend services and APIs for PPStack’s digital learning platforms and tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Writing clean, efficient server-side code.
- Implementing and integrating databases.
- Collaborating with front-end developers to build reliable, scalable features.
- Assisting in troubleshooting and debugging backend issues.
- Contributing to performance optimization, security, and data integrity.
- Participating in code reviews.
- Documenting technical solutions.
- Learning best practices in software development within an EdTech environment.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Skills in Back-End Web Development and Software Development.
- Skills in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and Programming.
- Skills in Front-End Development to collaborate on end-to-end feature delivery.
- Familiarity with one or more backend languages or frameworks (e.g., Node.js, Python, Java, or similar).
- Basic database knowledge (SQL/NoSQL).
Qualifications
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn in a fast-paced, remote environment.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Current enrollment in or recent completion of a degree program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
