About Yuzu

Yuzu administers health plans that expand healthcare access for small employers, deliver price transparency to members and providers, and simplify eligibility for brokers. Our goal is to make it as easy for any business to create and manage a custom health plan as it is to create a storefront on Shopify. We are backed by General Catalyst, Anthropic, Chemistry, Lachy Groom, and many unicorn founders.

Why Legal Ops?

Health insurance law is often complex. Yuzu aims to push the status quo by making complex compliance procedures easy and efficient for employers. We collaborate with engineers and lawyers, choosing data-driven product solutions over traditional methods. Our Legal Ops team is small, detail-oriented, and fast-paced, requiring frequent collaboration and knowledge of other business areas.

About the Role

As an Associate on the Legal Ops team, you will contribute to all aspects of our work. You will learn about complex appeals, contribute to compliance product features, research legal questions surrounding HIPAA and mental health parity, and master recurring legal workflows such as reviewing NSA cases and filing reports. We will provide training and support to help you learn about the business.
