About Overjoy
Overjoy is an AI-native sales company for SMBs. We help consumer brands grow wholesale revenue by combining people, AI agents, and software to run their sales process end to end. We're backed by Bessemer, OSV, and Floodgate, and work with brands including Nature’s Path, Milk Bar, and Simply Gum. We're growing 25% month over month, and we're looking for ambitious people who want to help build the next stage of the business.
About the Role
We're looking for a resourceful generalist to help us find and execute new growth opportunities. You'll work across growth, sales, customer research, and operations—turning ideas into experiments we can launch, measure, and improve. This is a hands-on role. You might research a new market, test an outreach campaign, analyze results, or build a workflow that helps the team move faster. You'll own both the thinking and the details that make an experiment happen.
Key Responsibilities
- Run growth experiments: Develop hypotheses, define success metrics, launch tests, and use results to decide what to scale, change, or stop.
- Find new ways to reach customers: Research prospects, test messaging and offers, and support outreach, content, partnerships, and events.
- Research customers and markets: Gather feedback, study competitors, and turn findings into practical recommendations.
- Track results: Maintain campaign trackers and simple dashboards, analyze conversion rates, and share clear updates.
- Improve how we work: Use AI tools, spreadsheets, and lightweight automation to streamline repetitive tasks.
- Take on special projects: Help across sales, product feedback, customer experience, and day-to-day operations as priorities evolve.
Qualifications
- A current student or recent graduate interested in startups, AI, and building businesses. Any academic background is welcome.
- Evidence that you’ve built, organized, sold, or grown something—a side project, campus organization, campaign, small business, or previous internship.
- Initiative and follow-through: you ask useful questions, figure out next steps, and finish what you start.
- Clear writing, attention to detail, and comfort with spreadsheets and basic business metrics.
- Experience using AI tools to get work done, with the judgment to check their output.
- Willingness to handle hands-on execution and campaign logistics with the same care you bring to strategy and analysis.
- Availability for a full-time, in-person internship in New York City.
What you’ll gain
- Ownership of real experiments with measurable business outcomes.
- Close collaboration with a small team building an AI-native business.
- Experience across growth, sales, research, and operations.
- Concrete projects and results you can point to at the end of your internship.
