About the Role
The Volunteer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai. The volunteer supports content, design, and accessibility projects by assisting teams with day-to-day coordination, documentation, and basic production tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Organizing project materials.
- Helping prepare reports or summaries.
- Supporting quality checks under guidance.
- Participating in initiatives that promote accessible content.
- Collaborating with project managers and specialists.
- Gaining exposure to industry-standard tools, workflows, and accessibility practices.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Ability to support content and design teams with basic tasks such as documentation, organizing assets, and following established workflows.
- Interest in digital accessibility, with willingness to learn about standards such as ADA, WCAG, and Section 508.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team environment.
- Good organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail.
- A proactive approach to assigned responsibilities.
- Comfort with using computers and common office software.
- Openness to learning new tools and technologies related to content production.
- Positive attitude, reliability, and commitment to full-time, on-site engagement at the Chennai location.
Qualifications
- Completed or ongoing education in any discipline.
- Interest in publishing, design, technology, or social impact work is an advantage.
