About the Role
Laneway is seeking a Web Development Intern to support the design, development, and maintenance of web applications and sites in collaboration with the technology and consulting teams. This is a remote internship role, offering exposure to real-world projects in consulting, technology, and media.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with front-end and back-end development tasks.
- Implement UI/UX designs.
- Test and debug code.
- Help integrate APIs and third-party services.
- Contribute to documentation.
- Participate in code reviews.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure solutions meet business requirements and performance standards.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Foundational understanding of Front-End Development.
- Foundational understanding of Back-End Web Development.
- Skills in Web Design, including basic UI/UX principles and responsive design practices.
- Strong Communication skills for collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Familiarity with at least one back-end language or framework (e.g., Node.js, Python, PHP) is beneficial.
- Experience or coursework in using version control tools (e.g., Git) and working with APIs is an advantage.
- Ability to learn quickly, work independently in a remote environment, manage time effectively, and adapt to evolving project needs.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree or certification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
