Gen AI Engineer Intern

About the Role

As a Gen AI Engineer Intern at vunai, you will support the design, implementation, and evaluation of AI models that solve decision-centric business problems in partnership with enterprise clients. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Surat, where you will contribute to applied AI projects from early prototyping through to practical deployment.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with neural network architectures and generative AI frameworks.
• Experiment with pattern recognition and NLP techniques.
• Assist in building scalable software components to deploy AI solutions.
• Collaborate with researchers and engineers to clean and prepare data.
• Run experiments, analyze results, and document findings for internal and client-facing use.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related technical field.
• Strong foundation in Computer Science and Software Development, including data structures, algorithms, and coding in languages such as Python or similar.
• Knowledge of Pattern Recognition and Neural Networks, with exposure to deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow) and model evaluation techniques.
• Familiarity with Natural Language Processing (NLP), including working with text datasets, embeddings, and generative language models.
• Ability to learn quickly, work independently, and collaborate effectively in a small, focused team environment.
• Comfort with reading research papers, experimenting with new methods, and translating ideas into working prototypes.
• Interest in applied AI, decision-centric systems, and building measurable, reliable tools for real-world use.
