[US]Marketing Intern
MachinePulse
About the Role
We’re looking for a scrappy, culturally plugged-in Marketing Intern to help build Karpo in NYC. This is a hands-on role for someone who likes to roll up their sleeves and make things happen. You’ll support everything from social and creator outreach to partnerships, events, research, and launch execution. We especially want someone with taste — someone who understands what feels culturally relevant, has a strong instinct for brands, creators, places, and communities, and can tell the difference between something that simply looks good and something that actually feels right for Karpo. If you want to step into AI and tech, but love fashion, lifestyle, culture, hospitality, or consumer brands, you might be the perfect fit.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and source creators, PR, and partners who fit Karpo’s audience and brand
- Own DMs, cold outreach, follow-ups, and relationship tracking
- Build creator, partnership, and cultural opportunity lists
- Support Instagram, TikTok, and X content planning and execution
- Help coordinate creator briefs, invite codes, assets, and deliverables
- Research trends, creators, journalists, publications, newsletters, podcasts, and cultural moments
- Help build and maintain media, creator, and partnership lists
- Draft media pitches, press materials, talking points, and outreach messages
- Monitor relevant news and identify timely PR opportunities
- Support outreach and follow-ups with creators, journalists, and partners
- Support shoots, events, community activations, and launch moments
- Find interesting brands, places, creators, trends, and cultural references for the team
- Keep calendars, trackers, briefs, and projects organized
- Jump in wherever the marketing team needs help — no task is too small
Who You Are
- Scrappy and resourceful — you figure things out
- Proactive — you don’t wait for someone to tell you every next step
- Comfortable doing a lot of outreach and persistent follow-up
- Organized and able to manage many moving pieces
- Social, curious, and comfortable meeting new people
- Very online and plugged into fashion, food, music, wellness, nightlife, creators, and NYC culture
- Have a strong visual and cultural point of view
- Fast-moving, low-ego, and happy doing both creative and unglamorous execution
- Curious about AI and consumer technology; prior tech experience is not required
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Experience with tools like Figma, Canva, Lark/Notion, Google Sheets, social scheduling platforms, or basic analytics
- Comfortable creating lightweight social content on an iPhone
- Existing knowledge of NYC creators, communities, venues, restaurants, events, or cultural spaces
- Basic video editing skills are a plus
Qualifications
- Previous internship or project experience in consumer brands, social media, creator marketing, fashion, hospitality, tech, PR, or events
