Consultant (SAP ABAP & VIM)

About the Role

As a Senior Consultant at OpenText, you will be a technical expert in OpenText VIM and ABAP, with knowledge of business processes in Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, and other SAP functional modules. This role offers the opportunity to design and architect OpenText Product VIM to suit customer needs, acting as a mentor and Subject Matter Expert (SME) for VIM. You will also have the opportunity to learn other OpenText tools like xECM, BC, and Flipper portal.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand complex customer requirements, analyze options, and build foolproof architecture and design.
• Conduct requirement gathering workshops, identify fit-to-standard, and provide solutions for identified gaps.
• Work alongside regional teams from the Ecosystem practice, contributing to and delivering projects collaboratively and individually.
• Configure and customize the VIM application based on customer needs.
• Test solutions, troubleshoot issues, and resolve them promptly.
• Prepare cutover plans, and execute cutover and go-live plans.
• Work with the project manager to deliver results according to project plan timelines.
• Provide accurate estimates and build Proofs of Concept (PoCs) as needed for customer context.
• Suggest appropriate versions of OpenText tools based on the SAP landscape and handle upgrades.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Hands-on experience in SAP ABAP, Basic & Advanced Programming, Data Dictionary, and RICEF objects.
• Strong knowledge of VIM workflows.
• Strong experience in VIM solution architecture.
• Knowledge of solution design for VIM / xECM (at least one).
• Experience in building custom workflows along with ABAP development experience.
• Experience in providing solutions using best practices for VIM based on business scenarios.
• Strong knowledge in VIM configurations (DP document types, process options, role and agent determination, blocking, approvals, ICC/IES, Archive Center).
• Strong knowledge in Workflow administration (restart/repair workflows).
• Knowledge and experience in debugging/troubleshooting workflows.
• Experience and knowledge in SAP MM (handling PO, GR, SES etc.) and FI modules with invoice posting/blocking/parking scenarios.
• Knowledge in SAP S/4 Hana, OOPS, and Fiori/UI5 is required.
• Working experience in SAP Fiori standard apps and custom apps is an added advantage.
• Experience and understanding of SAP MM functional modules and related business processes configuration is a huge plus.
