Web Development Intern

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Web Development Intern to support the development and maintenance of the VANWARD website. The intern will work on improving the website's functionality, user experience, and performance, with a focus on e-commerce features and responsive design.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in developing, maintaining, and updating the VANWARD website.
• Support the development and management of e-commerce functionality, product pages, and category listings.
• Help optimise the website for speed, performance, and a smooth user experience.
• Ensure website responsiveness across desktops, tablets, and mobile devices.
• Assist with integrating third-party tools, APIs, payment gateways, and other website services, as required.
• Identify and troubleshoot website issues, bugs, and technical errors.
• Support improvements to website navigation, layout, and overall user experience.
• Assist with product uploads, content updates, banners, and other website changes.
• Follow basic SEO practices to improve website visibility and search performance.
• Test website features and functionality before updates and releases.
• Collaborate with the design and marketing teams to implement website changes and new requirements.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Web Development, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Familiarity with responsive web design and cross-browser compatibility.
• Basic knowledge of website platforms or e-commerce technologies such as Shopify, WordPress, WooCommerce, or similar tools is an advantage.
• Understanding of APIs, databases, and third-party integrations is preferred.
• Familiarity with Git or other version control tools is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn, take initiative, and work collaboratively with the team.
