About the Role
Henry Ford Health is seeking a Lab Assistant-Specimen Collector (Phlebotomist).
Key Responsibilities
- Master the Art of Phlebotomy: Collect blood samples with skill and confidence—you'll spend at least 25% of your time perfecting this essential craft.
- Keep Things Moving: Process specimens, enter orders, and transport lab materials following established procedures.
- Be a Point-of-Care Testing Star: Perform quick, accurate testing.
- Create Great Experiences: Interact with patients, lab staff, and caregivers with genuine courtesy and professionalism.
- Work Independently (With Support): Take ownership of your tasks under limited supervision.
Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent required.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Demonstrate exceptional customer service skills.
- A minimum of six months experience in phlebotomy is required.
