About the Role
The Food Service Worker performs a variety of tasks required within a food service operation including patient tray assembly / delivery, dish area, salad bar, short order cooking, cafeteria serving, re-stocking, cash register and cleaning. This position could also be assigned to the Coffee Shop or Starbucks areas to perform similar duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Re-stock food and small wares supplies according to the established par levels.
- Deliver or serve patient/guest meal trays and retail food items accurately and in a timely manner.
- Keep retail or production preparation areas clean and sanitary using the established Public Health District standards.
- Follow guidelines for food handling and sanitation and ensure compliance.
- Prepares food and beverage requests in a timely and accurate manner.
- Complete dish and ware washing duties as assigned.
- Perform accurate cash handling for guest tray charges and retail food operations.
- Maintain dish room, ware washing area and tray assembly area in a clean and sanitary manner.
- Limit over production to minimum to control waste and food cost.
- Work as a grill cook as needed.
Qualifications
- ANSI Accredited Food Handler Training within 30 days.
