About the Role
This position is for an Intern entering their Senior or Post-Graduate year by the start of Summer 2027.
This position is on-site in San Diego, CA.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the development, deployment, implementation, and support of unit testing, integration testing, and regression testing of systems.
- Perform Whitebox, Blackbox, boundary, parameter, and exception testing.
- Learn software unit test methodology for Mission Critical software components.
- Learn modern agile software engineering practices like DevSecOps and associated tools.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Must be pursuing a Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
- Must have a minimum of 90 hours of credit by the start of the internship / co-op session.
- Good writing skills involving the ability to observe, capture precise information, and review content for accuracy and clarity.
- Experience with Java program language.
- Experience with Code Development Tools: VSCode, Maven, Junit5, Mockito.
- Experience programming within the Linux environment.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Software engineering project experience in a team.
- Experience with Code Development Languages/Tools: Python, Go, C++, googletest.
- Experience with Docker Containerized Development Tools: Docker/Docker Compose or Kubernetes/Helm.
- Interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with colleagues and leaders in a team environment.
