Technician Trainee, Production (RGU)

About the Role

The Technologist (RGU Production) will be responsible for operating and maintaining CNC equipment in a safe and efficient manner to achieve the company's quality and production standards. This role involves working with machining, welding, fabrication, assembly, material handling, and coordination with quality, engineering, and design departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure safety First – always.
• Execute production as per plan.
• Ensure processes and documentation adhere to ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, 45001:2018 Systems.
• Oversee output of assembly, welding, and machining operations.
• Perform Quality Assurance for all operations.
• Conduct daily maintenance of machines as per the checklist and guidance from Maintenance.
• Plan operations to maximize the utilization of machines, equipment, and manpower.
• Implement improvements in assembly, welding, and machining operations to reduce [pk – assumed abbreviation].
• Manage material movement between work centers as per shop traveler and process requirements.
• Interact with Production Planning, Purchasing, Maintenance, Design, and Quality for day-to-day operations.
• Implement Corrective and Preventive Actions for observed non-conformances.
• Ensure on-time entries in Movex for assembly, welding, and machining operations.
• Attend daily production meetings to discuss priorities and issues.
• Attend daily NC Review meetings to discuss root causes and corrective actions.
• Train contract personnel in assembly, welding, and machining operations.
• Attend training programs to improve knowledge and skills, as decided by management and self.
• Participate in and work according to outcomes of various meetings, including safety, employee, project, and management review meetings.

Qualifications

• Diploma / ITI / B.E. / B.Tech – in Engineering
• 1 to 2 years of experience in Heavy Engineering Industry / Machine Shop / Thread Rolling Operation
• Ability of Problem solving
