About the Role

• This role is within EY's Strategy and Transactions (SaT) - Transaction Diligence team, focusing on Financial Diligence in Mumbai.
• The team works with clients to identify answers to strategic, financial, operational, and commercial questions.
• Services include portfolio review, capital allocation, financial planning analytics, and decision support.
• The role involves helping clients manage risk/return trade-offs for better decision-making around financing and capital efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Understanding the business, competitive positioning, strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and challenges of target companies.
• Analyzing historic and current financial information.
• Analyzing projections and assumptions used for financial information.
• Identifying deal issues, assessing their impact on the transaction (e.g., valuation), and advising on ways to address them.
• Conducting analysis of transaction risks and ways to mitigate them.
• Understanding transaction structure and advising on structuring issues based on that understanding.
• Demonstrating high team orientation.
• Communicating effectively, both written and oral, including report writing.
• Applying strong analytical skills.
• Building good relationships with clients.
• Performing due diligence as part of an M&A team within an industry or a Big 3 CA firm.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Chartered Accountant qualification.
• Audit or Due Diligence experience.
• Experience in the range of 0-8 years.
• Ability to work collaboratively across multiple client departments while adhering to commercial and legal requirements.
• Practical approach to solving issues and complex problems.
• Ability to deliver insightful and practical solutions.
• Adaptable and creative approach.
