About the Role

As a full-time remote Content Creator Intern at Dailymattr, you will help produce engaging, accurate, and accessible news content across text, video, and audio formats.

Key Responsibilities

• Research trending and relevant topics.
• Summarize complex stories into clear narratives.
• Assist in scripting and storyboarding for multimedia explainers.
• Draft posts.
• Adapt content for different platforms.
• Collaborate with editors and designers.
• Apply feedback to refine your work.
• Support fact-checking.
• Perform basic copyediting.
• Assist with content scheduling.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Ability to research news and current affairs, identify key angles, and distill complex information into clear, concise summaries.
• Strong writing and editing skills with an eye for clarity, structure, and tone suitable for a younger, digital-first audience.
• Interest or basic skills in multimedia content creation, such as scripting for short videos, audio explainers, or social media formats.
• Familiarity with digital platforms and social media, and an understanding of how audiences consume news online.
• Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, including openness to learning fact-checking and verification techniques.
• Reliable time management, ability to work independently in a remote setting, and willingness to receive and apply feedback.
• Genuine curiosity about news, public affairs, and storytelling, with a desire to build a career in content or media.

Qualifications

• Ongoing or completed studies in journalism, communication, media, English, or a related field are preferred but not required.
