About the Role
The Article Trainee internship is an on-site position based in Mumbai.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with day-to-day accounting entries.
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements.
- Assist with documentation for audits and tax filings.
- Gather and organize client information.
- Support audit fieldwork.
- Prepare working papers under supervision.
- Help in drafting basic reports.
- Maintain records.
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Proficiency in MS Excel and other office productivity tools.
- Comfort with learning new software used for accounting and audit documentation.
Qualifications
- Strong interest in accounting, auditing, taxation, or related professional services, with a willingness to learn and work in a structured environment.
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles, financial statements, and statutory compliance (coursework or prior training preferred).
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prepare clear working papers and maintain accurate records.
- Attention to detail.
- Analytical thinking.
- Ability to follow documented processes and professional standards.
- Ability to work on-site in Mumbai.
- Ability to collaborate within a team.
- Ability to manage time effectively.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks under supervision.
- Enrollment in or completion of a relevant commerce, finance, or professional qualification program (such as CA, CMA, or similar) is an advantage.
