Data Science Intern

About the Role

The Data Science Intern role is a full-time, remote position focused on supporting data-driven initiatives and learning core data science practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with datasets to clean, preprocess, and explore data.
• Assist in the development of analytical models and basic statistical analyses.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis.
• Prepare visualizations and reports.
• Document methods and findings under guidance.
• Help test and validate data workflows.
• Contribute to simple automation scripts.
• Collaborate with mentors and peers on project-based assignments.

Qualifications

• Strong Analytical Skills to interpret data and derive insights.
• Foundational knowledge of Statistics (probability, distributions, hypothesis testing).
• Basic understanding of Data Science concepts (modeling, feature selection, evaluation metrics).
• Experience or coursework in Data Analytics and Data Analysis (data cleaning, visualization, reporting).
• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a program in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Effective time management.
• Clear communication with mentors and team members.
• Interest in continuous learning.
• Willingness to receive feedback.
• Motivation to build a strong data-focused portfolio.
