About the Role

P.L. Robotics is focused on developing industrial automation solutions for Indian manufacturing industries, delivering high-performance robotic systems with robust mechanical design and reliable engineering. As part of our team, you will work on the complete mechanical lifecycle of robotic systems from CAD design to manufacturing, assembly, and deployment at customer sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Design mechanical components and assemblies for industrial robotic systems
• Create detailed CAD models, drawings, and manufacturing documentation
• Perform FEA simulations to evaluate structural performance and improve mechanical designs
• Develop prototypes using FDM 3D printing and other rapid prototyping methods
• Work closely with manufacturing teams to convert designs into real parts
• Assemble and integrate mechanical systems with robotic arms and automation equipment
• Perform mechanical testing, alignment, and troubleshooting
• Support installation and commissioning of robotic systems at customer sites
• Collaborate with electrical and software teams to integrate complete robotic solutions
• Improve designs based on real-world testing and feedback
• Maintain design documentation and revision control

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering fundamentals
• Hands-on experience with Machine Design and Product Design
• Proficiency in CAD software (Onshape / SolidWorks / Fusion 360 / Creo / CATIA or similar)
• Understanding of FEA (Finite Element Analysis) for structural analysis and design validation
• Familiarity with 3D printers and rapid prototyping
• Understanding of manufacturing processes (CNC, sheet metal, welding, casting, etc.)
• Ability to create detailed engineering drawings and BOMs
• Basic knowledge of tolerances, GD&T, and material selection
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Interest in robotics, automation, and industrial machinery

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering / Mechatronics / Robotics
• Hands-on experience with industrial automation, robotics, or special-purpose machines
• Experience working on the shop floor or in production environments
• Familiarity with industrial safety and automation standards
