About the Role
Waymo is an autonomous driving technology company focused on building the Waymo Driver. This role is for a 2027 Summer Intern, MS/PhD, Quantitative Software Engineer.
Key Responsibilities
- Exploratory research and statistical evaluation of new theories.
- Periodically presenting research findings to small focus groups.
- Software engineering design and implementation.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Fluency in programming in Python.
- Knowledge and comfort with statistical concepts.
- Basic knowledge of machine learning.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Master's or PhD program in Computer Science, or a related technical field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Software engineering experience in Python.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Note: This will be a hybrid onsite internship position.
