About the Role
The Parker Engineering Internship Program focuses on developing new talent by exposing interns to product engineering, manufacturing engineering, and operations. Interns will gain experience in developing innovative solutions to complex engineering and manufacturing challenges using traditional problem-solving tools, analysis methods, analytical evaluation, and hands-on validation. This opportunity is for an Engineering Intern at the Hydraulic Pump & Motor Division (HPM) in Greeneville, TN. Intern projects are hands-on and focus on daily challenges and long-term improvement projects on products, components, and processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Adhere to all safety requirements.
- Assist in the design, development, and improvement of products and processes.
- Participate in identifying and solving equipment, product, or system issues.
- Work closely with other departments such as production, quality, and maintenance.
- Participate in and coordinate prototype builds.
- Review test requirements and test setups.
- Communicate results of technical inquiry to team members, providing documentation.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- 3D CAD modelling (preferred)
- Engineering drawings (preferred)
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or advanced degree program in an engineering field.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented and analytical.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as a team member.
- Presentation and facilitation skills (preferred).
