Technical Writer

About the Role

We are seeking a Technical Writer to create in-depth, SEO-optimized content on rent collection, leases, deposits, and tenant disputes specifically for the Indian market. Our blog is managed via plain Markdown in a repository, with automated internal-linking and IndexNow submission. You will be responsible for the editorial calendar and writing, while engineering manages the technical infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Research and write SEO-optimized articles and guides on rent collection, leasing, tenant management, and property accounting for an Indian audience.
• Identify and prioritize keywords that property managers and landlords search for, covering broad topics and India-specific long-tail queries.
• Craft titles, meta descriptions, and headers optimized for search rankings and structure articles for readability and AI overview citability.
• Update existing content by refreshing facts, improving structure, and addressing any ranking declines.
• Collaborate with the founder on content positioning to ensure accuracy with the product, beyond generic SEO friendliness.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Excellent written English with a clean, direct style.
• Working knowledge of on-page SEO: keyword research, search intent, internal linking, meta tags.
• Ability to research and understand new domains, such as property management, leases, and Indian rental law basics.
• Capacity to work independently against a content calendar and meet deadlines without close supervision.
• Writing samples or a portfolio demonstrating a range of article styles.

Nice to have:

• Prior writing experience in real estate, PropTech, fintech, or another regulated B2C/B2B SaaS niche.
• Familiarity with Ahrefs, Google Search Console, or similar SEO tooling.
• Comfort with editing Markdown directly and opening pull requests for posts.
• Proficiency in a second Indian language for future regional content.
