Design Engineer Internship

Key Responsibilities

• Designing the external form of the chai machine, including enclosure panels, front face, cup area, lighting, and branding.
• Collaborating with the engineering team to ensure the design accommodates internal mechanisms and is easy to service and maintain.
• Designing products for manufacturing in coordination with local sheet-metal and fabrication vendors, including material selection, finishes, and colours.
• Designing an intuitive touchscreen ordering interface that allows users to place orders in just a few taps.
• Creating product renders and visuals for marketing materials, presentations, pitches, and the company website.
• Developing and maintaining a simple brand and style guide covering colours, graphics, and typography used on the machine.
• Iterating on designs based on feedback and insights gathered through user testing at real-world locations.
