Travel Writer (Intern)

About the Role

Cura is seeking a Travel Writer (Intern) to create travel guides that users find when searching for their next trip, aiming to convert readers into Cura members.

Key Responsibilities

• Write itineraries, trip cost guides, and visa guides for destinations such as Thailand, Vietnam, Bali, Sri Lanka, and Goa.
• Create short answer pages for specific travel questions (e.g., optimal duration for a Bali trip).
• Research all facts from official sources, including visa rules, fees, and prices.
• Write within the Cura CMS, adhering to a brief that includes an answer-first introduction, FAQs, and internal links.
• Utilize Ubersuggest to pull keyword data before commencing each piece of content.

Expectations

• Produce 2 blog posts per day, each between 1,200 and 1,800 words.
• Produce 3 short pieces per day, each between 400 and 600 words.
• Work 5 days a week.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to write in a friendly, advisory tone, avoiding brochure-like language.
• Meticulous attention to facts and a dislike for superfluous content.
• Proficiency in using AI tools for drafting, with a strong emphasis on rewriting content in one's own voice.
• Previous travel experience is beneficial.

Compensation

• ₹7,000 per month.
• Up to ₹2,000 per month in incentives based on:
• Posts published on time.
• Posts ranking in Google's top 20.
• Sign-ups generated from your posts.

Location

• Hybrid: 4 days remote, 1 day per week in the Bengaluru office.
