Platform Engineer, Control Automation

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of platform automation solutions across infrastructure, cloud, and application environments.
• Develop and maintain automation frameworks for provisioning, configuration management, patching, deployment, and operational tasks.
• Build Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, or Puppet.
• Design automated controls to ensure platform security, compliance, governance, and operational consistency.
• Develop self-healing and event-driven automation for incident remediation and operational efficiency.
• Automate routine platform administration and system maintenance activities.
• Integrate automation with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps toolchains.
• Manage workflow and orchestration platforms such as Ansible Automation Platform, Rundeck, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and automated response mechanisms.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives through automation and process optimization.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure, Cloud, Security, DevOps, and SRE teams.
• Establish automation standards, coding guidelines, and governance models.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive automation solutions.
• Lead platform modernization and operational transformation projects.
• Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership on automation best practices.
