About the Role
- Organization: Alignerr
- Type: Hourly Contract
- Location: Remote
- Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
What You'll Do
- Develop, solve, and critically review advanced materials science problems with real-world scientific relevance
- Apply expertise in semiconductor materials, molecular modeling, or related disciplines to design complex, high-quality problem sets
- Evaluate AI-generated scientific content for accuracy, depth, and rigor
- Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and fellow domain experts to enhance AI reasoning capabilities
- Ensure scientific clarity, precision, and depth across all deliverables
- Work independently on task-based assignments, on your own schedule
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Master's or PhD in Materials Science or a closely related field
- Strong expertise in semiconductor materials, molecular modeling, or adjacent research areas
- Comfortable coding in Python or MATLAB for research or data-driven work
- Exceptionally detail-oriented
- Clear and precise written communicator
- Self-motivated and reliable when working independently
Nice to Have
- Prior experience with data annotation, evaluation systems, or AI training workflows
- Background in computational materials science or materials informatics
- Experience writing technical documentation, research papers, or scientific assessments
- Familiarity with AI tools or large language models as an end user
