Software Engineer (Agent Platform), New Grad
Netic
About the Role
Netic is hiring multiple new graduate engineers for the Agent Platform team, available to start between winter 2026 and summer 2027. This role involves building features that enable AI agents to construct, test, and enhance themselves.
Key Responsibilities
- Build the orchestration layer: Design and implement systems for real-time routing, sequencing, and supervision of multi-agent workflows in customer environments.
- Extend agent harnesses: Develop tooling, sandboxes, and evaluation loops for agents to test and validate their outputs prior to production.
- Work on Agent Manager: Contribute to the internal system where agents propose, test, and deploy improvements to other agents, including guardrails, rollback paths, and human-in-the-loop checkpoints.
- Ship agentic products: Design, code, and ship full-stack features for Netic's agent platform, encompassing data models, APIs, and front-end tooling.
- Co-create with customers: Collaborate with customer workflows to identify areas where automated agent improvement is unreliable, and translate these edge cases into platform safeguards.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Systems fundamentals: Comfort with Python (asyncio, FastAPI) and TypeScript (Node, React); CS fundamentals in distributed systems.
- Agent tooling exposure: Coursework, internship, or personal project experience with LLM APIs, eval frameworks, RAG, or agent frameworks (LangChain, MCP, or similar). Production experience not required, curiosity is.
- Orchestration mindset: Interest in the coordination of state, tool calls, and failure recovery in multi-step, multi-agent systems. No prior experience required, but excitement to learn is key.
- Founder-level ownership: Track record of shipping full projects (school, internship, or personal) end-to-end.
- Comfortable with ambiguity in bleeding-edge areas of agentic AI.
Qualifications
- New graduate engineers available to start between winter 2026 and summer 2027. Earlier start dates are a plus.
