2027 Summer Marketing Communications Intern

About the Role

Plante Moran is seeking a 2027 Summer Marketing Communications Intern to support the firm’s communications team, focusing on internal communications and public relations. This role will leverage excellent written and verbal communication skills to inform staff, support change management, and reinforce firm history and culture. The ideal candidate will be comfortable in a fast-paced, innovative team environment, possess strong writing, technology, and problem-solving skills, and be open to embracing AI technologies like Copilot.

Key Responsibilities

• Write short articles for the intranet on topics such as diversity, equity, and inclusion, new firm initiatives, and client success stories.
• Write brief articles for plantemoran.com highlighting media placements.
• Write social media posts to share firm news or initiatives.
• Write press releases to announce firm news.
• Perform general coordination duties, including scheduling meetings, entering work into a project management system, and posting articles to the intranet.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
• Embracing AI technologies, like Copilot.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced and innovative team environment.
• Possess writing, technology, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Completion of at least three years of study in pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related degree.
• Academic success with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
• Previous marketing internship experience; communications focus is preferred.
• This internship is designed for students currently pursuing a degree and planning to return to school following the internship. Candidates who will complete their degree requirements before or during the internship are encouraged to apply for entry-level opportunities.
