Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Truck Driver role based in Ahmedabad.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operating company trucks.
• Following assigned routes.
• Ensuring on-time delivery and pickup of goods.
• Performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Securing and unloading cargo as required.
• Accurately maintaining delivery logs and documentation.
• Complying with all traffic and safety regulations.
• Communicating with dispatch and warehouse teams.
• Reporting any vehicle or route issues promptly.
• Maintaining a clean, well-kept vehicle.
• Representing Shivhom professionally when interacting with customers and the public.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• CDL Class A (or equivalent local heavy vehicle license).
• Strong knowledge of DOT Regulations or relevant transport compliance requirements.
• Capability to perform Unloading tasks, including safe handling, securing, and moving cargo.
• Strong awareness of road safety practices, defensive driving techniques, and basic vehicle maintenance checks.
• Good communication skills for coordinating with dispatch, warehouse staff, and customers.
• Ability to work full-time on-site in Ahmedabad.
• Flexibility for varying routes and schedules.
• Physical ability to handle manual tasks related to loading and unloading.
• Physical ability to sit for extended driving periods.
• Clean driving record.
• Adherence to company safety and operational policies.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate and manage a truck safely and efficiently.
• Experience in Truck Driving and handling truck-related equipment.
• Prior experience in commercial or long-distance driving is preferred.
