About the Role
Join the team behind SynaptyX AI's agentic orchestration platform, which integrates accelerators across AI Strategy, Data Intelligence, and Analytics. You will work on client-facing accelerators, starting with well-scoped tasks and expanding your responsibilities as you demonstrate capability. Work is reviewed, explained, and shipped.
What You’ll Work On
- Building and improving AI agent workflows in Python, using LangChain and LangGraph.
- Building agent tools and skills, and connecting agents to data and external systems.
- Building and integrating MCP servers and clients.
- Writing tests and evals to ensure AI answer accuracy and reliability.
- Writing backend APIs built with FastAPI.
- Using AI-assisted coding tools daily, with proper discipline.
- Learning how AI products are deployed and monitored.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Solid Python and FastAPI fundamentals: ability to read, debug, and structure unfamiliar code.
- Hands-on project work with LangChain or LangGraph (coursework, personal projects, or internships are acceptable).
- Clear understanding of how an LLM application differs from a single prompt, including concepts like tools, state, memory, and retries.
- Working knowledge of SQL and REST APIs.
- Comfort with Git and the command line.
- Regular use of AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot or similar), with strict adherence to best practices:
- Reading and understanding all changes before committing.
- Providing small, well-scoped tasks with sufficient context to the tool.
- Writing or running tests to verify tool output.
- Never pasting secrets or client data into a tool.
- Ability to explain any submitted code line.
- Willingness to read documentation and source code.
Qualifications (Bonus Points)
- Prior experience building an agent, a RAG pipeline, or an MCP server.
- Experience with Docker and any cloud platform (AWS, Azure, etc.).
- Experience with evals, LLM-as-judge, or measuring answer quality.
- Familiarity with deep agent skills, including OpenSearch, Redis, Postgres.
Don't Apply If
- You have only run notebooks and never built usable software for others.
- You prefer copying errors to reading them.
- You accept AI-generated code without review.
- You are seeking a research role without engineering components.
What You’ll Get
- Real production work, not a side project.
- A small, supportive team that provides context.
- Clear mentorship and regular feedback.
- A potential path to a full-time role based on performance.
