About the Role

rand* construction corporation is seeking Summer 2027 Interns for a 12-week program tailored to the intern's field of study, offering deep immersion into the business operations of a leading commercial contractor. Interns will work under the supervision of experienced department leaders.

Key Responsibilities

Depending on the major, the program will focus on one of the following tracks:

• Construction Management:
• Hands-on experience across field operations and project management.
• Procore software training.
• Safety protocols.
• Blueprint reading.
• Superintendent job shadowing.
• Active job site visits.
• Human Resources:
• Exposure to full-cycle recruiting.
• Onboarding.
• Employee engagement initiatives.
• Benefits administration.
• HR compliance.
• Marketing:
• Support corporate branding.
• Proposal writing.
• Social media campaigns.
• Public relations.
• Collateral development for high-profile commercial projects.
• Finance:
• Assist with accounts payable/receivable.
• Job-cost accounting.
• Billing.
• Financial reporting.
• Audit preparations within the construction sector.
• Analyze project budgets, cash flow projections, cost-benefit analyses, and financial forecasting.
• Information Technology:
• Assist with helpdesk support.
• Hardware/software deployment.
• Network maintenance.
• Implementation of emerging construction tech tools.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Current enrollment for Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Human Resources, Marketing, Finance, IT or related field.
• Sophomore year or above.
• Basic understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and project delivery methods.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Goals to establish a career in Construction Management.
• Good time management and prioritization skills.
• Ability to learn new technology utilized in project management.
• Strong work ethic.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with industry-specific applications such as Procore, Bluebeam, or MS Project.
• Eagerness to learn through hands-on site exposure.
• Demonstrated passion for the commercial construction industry.
• Positive attitude, ambition, and continual determination for self-improvement.
