About the Role
HCA Houston Healthcare is hosting an invite-only Nurse Residency Hiring Event for its North Houston facilities on November 11th. This program is designed to support new graduate nurses through a structured transition into professional practice, fostering confidence and competence.

- HCA Healthcare Houston Kingwood Hospital
- HCA Healthcare Houston North Cypress Hospital
Key Responsibilities
The RN Resident coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care. This includes:
- Assessing patient condition and reporting changes.
- Performing procedures and documenting care.
- Administering prescribed medications and monitoring responses.
- Responding promptly to patient requests and anticipating needs.
- Educating patients, families, and caregivers on medical conditions, treatment plans, and medications.
Nurse Residency Program Components
The year-long, full-time paid program includes:
- Advanced clinical training in a specialty area.
- Monthly educational sessions.
- Preceptorship training.
- Skills measurement and evaluation through simulations.
- Mentoring from experienced nurse leaders.
- Collaboration on an evidence-based practice project.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program.
- Registered Nurse License or Graduate Nurse License in the State, with a confirmed NCLEX date.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification (to be obtained within 30 days of employment).
Qualifications
- No previous experience needed.
- Some travel may be required for training.
